Congregational Planning

Your input is important to us.

We Want to Hear from You

The Congregational Planning Committee scheduled a series of meetings to bring together members of our congregation to discuss their needs and how they would expect TBZ to fulfill them. Some of these meetings were targeted to a specific interest group within our Temple and others are more general "Town Meetings".

Because your input is important to us, we invite you to contact any one of us at the e-mail addresses below.

We urge everyone to contact us. Temple Beth Zion is a wonderful institution and with your help, we can continue to thrive and meet the needs of our members.

We look forward to your input.

The Congregational Planning Committee Needs Your Help

(January 2010 Temple Beth Zion Bulletin)

We are excited to announce that we will be chairing the Congregational Planning Committee, which is responsible for establishing and communicating a process for congregational planning that engages a broad spectrum of thinking from throughout the Congregation. The Committee will provide regular updates to the Board and the Congregation. This committee is not part of "Talk Beth Zion," the exciting initiative Rabbi Green introduced in her Yom Kippur sermon.

Over the next few months, we will hold a series of meetings and/or reach out to congregants to bring together members of selected constituencies within the Temple to discuss their needs and how they would expect TBZ to fulfill them. We have identified the following constituent groups: Sisterhood, Brotherhood, regular service attendees, PALS and pre-school parents, TBaZY and high school students, college students, families without school-age children, singles, seniors, new members, interfaith households, GLBT member, city dwellers, suburbanites and snowbirds.

We are mindful that members may fall within multiple groups. We will reach out to all congregants and have provided information below for you to contact us, either for a one-on-one discussion or to be part of a group. Contact any committee member by e-mail or contact Julie Feldman in the Temple office (836-6565 or julie@tbz.org) and let us know what group you would like to be included in. We will also advise you of the various meeting places and times. If we can get participation of the full Congregation, we can provide meaningful input for the future of our Temple. We urge everyone to contact us or attend a group discussion. Temple Beth Zion is a wonderful institution and with your help, we can continue to thrive and meet the needs of our members. We look forward to your input.
