The Brotherhood enters the 2007 – 2008 fiscal year on very sound financial footing. Although our membership was down slightly, we can attribute this to the timing of the October surprise, right in the middle of our membership drive. We volunteered to help both the Temple, and Temple members with storm clean up.

We have continued with our ongoing commitment to the Achim program, which we run one Sunday per month at the Weinberg Campus, for the residents. This year's speakers included Rich Kellman, Rabbi Cohen, Dr. Shepard Goldberg, and Rob Goldberg from Hillel. This program continues to be very rewarding for us, and enjoyable for the residents.

Our Interfaith Shabbat featured Bishop Edward Kmiec, who was very gracious in his remarks. Brotherhood also sponsored the Maurice S. Tabor Man of the Year award, and honored Hy Polakoff, who was presented by last year's honoree, Herman Stone. In addition, we provide ushers for High Holiday services.

 Financially, Brotherhood continues to fund and support many Temple activities. These include our continued obligation to support the Delaware building renovation. We also have given over $2000 to support religious school and pre-school scholarships. Other funding has gone to Yom Kippur break the fast, B'nai Mitzvah books, religious school opening breakfast, and Mitzvah Day. This year, the Brotherhood approved funding of $1300 for one of the defibrillators that Temple purchased.
