Brotherhood

A Great Time to Join

Brotherhood's annual membership drive is under way. We are looking forward to one of our most successful drives in many years. Annual membership is still only $25, but we have two additional levels of membership at $36 and $50 for those who wish to contribute to Brotherhood and assist in funding our programs. If you are a Brotherhood member, please continue your membership and if you are not, what are you waiting for? This is a great time to join. When you received your membership mailing, please take a few minutes to fill it out and return it with your dues. Men of the Temple, why not join the Brotherhood and participate in our programs? I cannot think of one reason why you should not. Please join and support the Brotherhood.

I would like to thank everyone who volunteered and ushered at Rosh Hashanah services and those of you who will be ushering on Yom Kippur. I would also thank Sandy Beckman for serving as this year's ushering captain and recruiting this year's volunteers.

The first Achim program of the year was held on September 11 at the Weinberg Campus. Our speaker was Dr. Stewart Fishman, who enlightened us on the current state of affairs in Israel. Please consult your Bulletin or the Temple website for updates on future Achim programs.

Please feel free to contact us at TBZBrotherhood@aol.com with any suggestions you may have in regard to programming, fund raising, further information on Brotherhood or any other Brotherhood issue.

Thank you for your previous support of Brotherhood, and we look forward to your continued support in this coming year.

Sincerely,

Philip Chazen

Irving Haber Achim Program

The TBZ Brotherhood brings speakers to the residents of Weinberg Campus as part of the Irving Haber Achim program. This tradition has been going on for years, and it is a very rewarding experience to all involved.

We are always looking for speakers or presenters for this program. We generally discuss topics involving current events, trips to Israel and holiday memories. The Achim program has been very successful and we are proud to perform this Mitzvah at Weinberg. If you have a program you would like to present, do not hesitate to contact by clicking here.
