Sisterhood Identity
We provide: A collective identity for the women in our congregation, an outlet for the creative energy, talent and leadership for each of its members, a national and worldwide connection to other Jewish women through its affiliation with the Women of Reform Judaism.
Commitment to Our Congregation
We support: Our Religious School, scholarships to Religious School and PALS, gifts to B'nai Mitzvah students, Confirmands and Graduates of our High school program, TBZ's Capital Campaign, all areas of our Temple.
Commitment to Community
We volunteer: Haven House, a shelter for battered women and children, TBZ Mitzvah Day project, Intergenerational Women's Seder. |

Sisterhood Wants Your Support! Join Us Today!
Sisterhood needs the support of all of the women in the congregation. It is our sincere hope that every woman in our congregation will join us. Whether you come to meetings, programs, help us organize and plan events or just submit your dues, you are choosing to support Sisterhood. Your level of participation is up to you, but please remember that a dynamic, warm and inspired group of women await you, however you choose to participate. Be counted as a Woman of Reform Judaism! Your membership and generosity are greatly appreciated.

Your volunteer support is greatly appreciated. Please let us know if you are interested in helping with any of the following: Judaica Shop, Women's Seder, Sukkah Decorating, Sisterhood Shabbat Service, Chanukah Bazaar, Family Chaunkah Party, Donors Luncheon, Haven House Luncheon or Theater Trips.
As a member of Sisterhood of Temple Beth Zion WRJ, you automatically become a member of Women of Reform Judaism (WRJ). WRJ represents over 75,000 women in 500 Sisterhoods throughout the United States, Canada and thirteen other countries. WRJ founded the North American Federation of Temple Youth (NFTY). WRJ is the largest single contributor to the Rabbinic Scholarship Fund for Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion (HUC-JIR). WRJ supports the World Union for Progressive Judaism which helps establish congregations and provides rabbinic leadership in more than 40 countries. WRJ established the Jewish Braille Institute (JBI) which prints prayer books for the blind. WRJ is an advocate and collective voice for Reform Jewish women. |

The Intergenerational Women's Seder, Co-Sponsored by Sisterhoods of Temple Beth Zion and Congregation Shir Shalom, was held on Sunday, March 17 at Temple Beth Zion's Broder Center for Jewish Education. The service was led by Cantorial Intern Penny Myers, Susan Goldberg Schwartz and Sharon Jacobs. |
