As a member of Sisterhood of Temple Beth Zion WRJ, you automatically become a member of Women of Reform Judaism (WRJ).  WRJ represents over 75,000 women in 500 Sisterhoods throughout the United States, Canada and thirteen other countries.  WRJ founded the North American Federation of Temple Youth (NFTY). WRJ is the largest single contributor to the Rabbinic Scholarship Fund for Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion (HUC-JIR). WRJ supports the World Union for Progressive Judaism which helps establish congregations and provides rabbinic leadership in more than 40 countries.  WRJ established the Jewish Braille Institute (JBI) which prints prayer books for the blind. WRJ is an advocate and collective voice for Reform Jewish women.

Sisterhood needs the support of all of the women in the congregation. It is our sincere hope that every woman in our congregation will join us. Whether you come to meetings, programs, help us organize and plan events or just submit your dues, you are choosing to support Sisterhood. Your level of participation is up to you, but please remember that a dynamic, warm and inspired group of women await you, however you choose to participate.  Be counted as a Woman of Reform Judaism!

The Youth, Education and Special Projects (Y.E.S.) Fund is the Women of Reform Judaism's major project for support of the programs and institutions of Reform and Progressive Judaism.  The Fund provides educational and cultural programs for high school and college age youth and scholarships and grants for future rabbis.  Additionally, resources are provided for service and humanitarian causes in the areas of social justice, human rights, early childhood education, human services and world peace.  Please support the YES Fund by adding $5.00 to your dues check; you will receive 4 Uniongram cards.

Your volunteer support is greatly appreciated.  Please let us know if you are interested in helping with any of the following:

    Judaica Shops - help sell in shops (open Sunday mornings, Thursday Afternoons and by appointment  at Broder, and Friday nights after services at Delaware)

     Women's Seder- help plan, set up and clean up

    Succah Decorating- help decorate the Succah at both buildings

    Shabbat Service-Participate in the Sisterhood morning or evening service

    Chanukah Bazaar- help children find gifts for their family at the Judaica shop.

    Donors Luncheon- help acquire raffle prizes

    Let us know if you would  like to get more involved in Sisterhood!  Let us know if you have a flair for writing, fundraising, cooking/baking, decorating, or art!
